The Tapo C120 packs features typically found in $50+ cameras into a $30 package. The 2K QHD resolution captures sharp video with excellent dynamic range. The physical privacy shutter is a standout – slide it closed, and you know with absolute certainty that no video is being recorded.

AI detection distinguishes between people, pets, and motion without requiring a subscription. A microSD card slot supports up to 256 GB of local storage, and the optional Tapo Care cloud plan adds rich notifications. Two-way audio is clear enough for chatting with a child or scolding a pet.

The Tapo app contains promotional ads for other TP-Link products, which can be irritating. But at this price, the C120 offers incredible value as a nursery camera, pet monitor, or general-purpose indoor security camera.
